Multi-Timbral Sampler Instrument
Structure is a multi-timbral instrument with a built-in sample library and editor that enables you to combine, layer, and edit your samples. At its core, Structure has a powerful 128-level multi-timbral universal sound engine that can support up to 8-channel interleaved samples. With Structure, you can create complex, rich patches by blending together multiple samples and effects. Each patch can have an unlimited number of parts, and each part can consist of a single sample, multiple samples, a sub-patch, a MIDI processor, and audio and MIDI effects. All of these elements can be rearranged and tweaked for extensive sound experimentation.
Structure comes with a massive 37+GB premium sample sound library from AIR Music Technology. This comprehensive collection equips you with almost every instrument imaginable, and includes AIR Music Technology’s exclusive orchestral elements (strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion), acoustic and electronic drums (including Nashville Signature drum kits captured from sessions at the famed Blackbird Studios), hand and pitched percussion, pianos and keyboards (including a new high-definition grand piano), choral sounds, guitars, basses, synth pads, synth leads, surround sounds, and atmospheres.
In addition to its built-in library, Structure can also play third party sound banks, allowing you to load and manipulate unencrypted Avid SampleCell, Native Instruments Kontakt, and Apple Logic EXS24 sound libraries. Structure supports samples with any standard bit depth, sample rate, and surround format — up to 24-bit, 192 kHz, 7.1 surround audio. Plus, its built-in REX file player can handle any tempo you may wish to work into your projects.
Structure comes equipped with an integrated Sample Editor, enabling you to tweak and fine-tune a sound without leaving your DAW. It also provides per-zone editing, allowing you to alter different characteristics of a sound using standard waveform tools, or manipulate various parameters such as the pitch, envelope, filter, amplifier envelope, output, and effects routing. The Sample Editor is resizable and can be stretched across your computer screen for precise editing.
Structure also features an integrated multi-effects processing engine that offers over 20 types of world-class effects algorithms in stereo and surround. Choose from a variety of reverbs (including stereo and surround convolution reverbs), delays, compressors, EQs, and more. You can meticulously dial-in a custom effect to complement your sound, or select any of the hundreds of presets for a quick enhancement with zero effort. An unlimited number of effects can be inserted within each patch, and you can route any patch, part, or zone to four global effects sends — each of which features four effects inserts — enabling you to fine-tune each aspect of your creation for unprecedented patch design.
Structure features a built-in database and file browser to help you locate sounds quickly and manage your sound library. Search for sounds by instrument type, manufacturer, style, name, and more, and audition samples right in the browser to find that perfect starting point. You can also register, categorize, and edit any file’s metadata to optimize your search results.
Structure was designed to be a powerful, intuitive tool that enables you to create complex sounds with simple controls. As a result, its interface and operational controls are straightforward and organized, allowing you to spend more time creating. The Structure interface features a built-in keyboard that allows you to test notes and play parts at any time, or connect a MIDI controller for full hands-on sound triggering and musical performances. It also features six Smart Knobs that provide easy access to key sonic parameters on a patch-by-patch basis. For this project, producers DOUG ROGERS and NICK PHOENIX recorded one of the top horn sections in the industry in EastWest's famous Hollywood studios, and brought in multiple Grammy award-winning engineer MOOGIE CANAZIO to craft a sound that's larger than life. MOOGIE CANAZIO has recorded music icons Ray Charles, Sarah Vaughan, Sergio Mendes, Diana Ross, Luis Miguel, Michael Buble, Melody Gardot, and many more. He's been nominated for over 35 Grammy nominations and has won 7 Grammys and Latin Grammys.
HOLLYWOOD POP BRASS features a 4-piece brass ensemble for all multi-sampled articulations that includes 2 trumpets, a trombone, and a saxophone that alternates between a baritone, tenor, and alto saxophone depending on the note range; and a 5-piece ensemble for all phrases and licks that includes 2 trumpets, a trombone and 2 saxophones that alternate between a baritone, tenor, and alto saxophone depending on the instrument voicing. It includes incredible sounding multi-sampled ensemble sections recorded in the famous Studio 1 at EastWest Studios ("the best brass recording room in the world" according to Michael Jackson engineer Bruce Swedien) as well as stylized phrases and licks in multiple keys recorded in Studio 2, a favorite of many Latin artists going all the way back to Tijuana Brass by Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66. These phrases will simply blow you away with how easily they slide right into your track, and cover many genres from pure pop to rock, funk, soul, and many distinctive rhythms and melodies from the Latin world.

The great thing about this library is that there's something for everyone - whether you want to build deep and detailed compositions with one of the world’s top horn sections, or if you just want to "plug and play" using licks and phrases that will inspire you and bring that "it" factor to your song. It's the ultimate ensemble pop/Latin brass collection that will leave you screaming, hollering, and begging for more.
HOLLYWOOD POP BRASS includes the articulations listed below. Most include multiple dynamic layers, up to 8 round robin sample alternatives, and a variety of instrument programming options to accommodate a variety of playing styles.
Sustain: Contains different types of sustained articulations: fast, medium and long crescendos, sustain accent, crescendo and diminuendo, and "xfde" ver- sions of instruments that use Mod Wheel (CC1) to cross-fade between dynamics. Each contain 2 dynamic layers, and use Expression (CC 11) to control loudness.
Short: Contains a variety of articulations that have a short duration, including marcato, stabs, staccato, and staccato repetitions. Each include round robin variations, use velocity-sensitivity to control dynamics and Expression (CC 11) to control overall loudness.
Effects: Contains instruments that feature special articulation techniques like falls and rips in various durations, as well as growls and trills. All but growls contain multiple round robin variations.
Legato: Contains an instrument that will playback true legato intervals when two notes are played in a connected fashion (legato), for every interval up to and including an octave in either direction. When playing disconnected (non-legato), a sustain layer will playback.
MOD Combo: Contains instruments that combine multiple articulations and uses the Mod Wheel (CC 1) to select between them. A ‘VS’ (velocity-sensitive) instru- ment named HPB Shorts VS MOD.ewi alternatively uses velocity to select between articulations and Mod Wheel (CC 1) to determine dynamics.
Phrases: Contains instruments that feature phrases and sub-phrases in various tempos that fit perfectly in the world of pop brass. Each was recorded with multiple transpositions, and are mapped across the virtual keyboard on their respective root note positions for use in a variety of key signatures.
Licks: Contains instruments that feature short licks (or "motifs") performed at 120 bpm that fall into 1 of 6 chord types. The position of the Mod Wheel de- termines which of the chord types will playback. Each lick has 2 round robin variations and is mapped to the key that corresponds to the respective root note position of each chord type.
Keyswitch: Keyswitch contains instruments that combine multiple articulations into a single instrument and uses keyswitches to activate the desired articulation.

New features in version 2.0
Real-Time Orchestrator (RTO)
A groundbreaking feature enabling polyphonic, poly-rhythmic legato across a mixed section of instruments. Using RTO you can play an entire section on the keyboard, and the notes you play are orchestrated in real time and distributed to the various instruments in the RTO multi, based on orchestration schemes that you can create yourself. This is an extremely powerful system which is extremely easy to use. Great for live shows, as well as tracking under tight deadlines. It also offers articulation presets which can replace the built-in key-switching with alternative midi triggers such as foot-switches, freeing your left hand for playing notes rather than key-switches.
Unison Section
From now on, you can use any of the Broadway Big Band wind instruments multiple times in the arrangement or in a multi, even when playing unison, creating a realistic section of multiple instruments. This means that even with multiple instances of just one instrument, you can still get a realistic section of multiple instruments playing in unison. The feature is not some kind of a doubling effect, but rather it uses different samples, and performs slight adjustments to make sure each instance of the instrument sounds a little different from the other. The results are very realistic. The feature also includes “Humanize? and “Detune? knobs for further control over the section sound.
Notation Software Support
With version 2.0, “Notation mode? has been added to all of the Broadway Big Band instruments, to enable notation programs to communicate with Broadway Big Band and use it for playback of scores, including all included articulations and dynamics. The new Notation mode also enables integration with Cubase Expression maps. This was not previously possible due to the unique articulation switching system in Broadway Big Band. The new Notation Mode uses an alternative system of key-switching that is more in line with the way notation programs operate. (full documentation in the user manual).
Velocity curve control
Due to the extended dynamic range of the wind instruments included in Broadway Big Band, it is sometimes difficult to keep dynamics under control when using a MIDI keyboards velocity. To help overcome this, weve added a new knob to control the velocity curve, which helps adjusting the responsiveness of the Broadway Big Band instruments to various MIDI keyboards. The new velocity curve control feature can also be MIDI automated to make changes within a song as needed.

FP+Vibrato, Added both as a temporary articulation and in combination with the existing “Strong Vibrato? articulation, as a new “Deep Vibrato? playing mode.
