Serato DJ
Serato DJ provides a range of advancements to this popular DJing software. With support for Rane's line of Serato enabled mixers (Sixty-Eight, Sixty Four, Sixty-Two Z, Sixty-Two, and Sixty-One), Rane's line of SL interface boxes, as well as a wide variety of mixers and DJ controllers designed for Serato from Denon, Novation, Numark, Pioneer, Reloop and others.
Serato DJ comes with a set of iZotope-designed internal effects. Cue points and loop controls have been improved such that you may now see up to eight cue points at once alongside saved loops and autoloops. It is now also possible to name cues with the label of your choice such as "intro," "drop," "verse," etc. A new quantize mode allows you to set and trigger cue points in time with the beat and an adjustable beatgrid. The sample player enables 4 bank of 6 sample slots, an advanced mode for designing samples, and a simplified mode for incorporating the samples into your set.
Serato Video
Serato Video is for live performance applications such as when mixing visuals at a party, art installation, or club. Serato Video utilizes Serato DJ's user interface to mix video effects (audio reactive, equalizer, lighting, record, transform), visual representations of linked audio FX, images, and text. It supports .mov, .m4v, .mp4, .m4a, .avi, .flv, .mpg, .mpeg, .dv, and .qtz file formats and provides controls over characteristics such as contrast, delay, video transitions, and crossfading between visuals. There's also the new record feature that allows you to record your set.
Serato DVS
Serato DVS (Digital Vinyl System) is an expansion pack for Serato DJ that allows users with compatible/supported hardware to expand their setup and connect Turntable or CDJs to their controller setup. Supported hardware includes: Akai Pro AMX, Denon DJ MC6000MK2, Numark N4, Pioneer DDJ-SX2, and more. Additionally, DVS can be used with natively with select DJ mixers including Pioneer DJM-900NXS, Pioneer DJM-850, Allen & Heath Xone:DB2, Allen & Heath Xone:DB4, and Allen & Heath Xone:43.
Serato Flip
Serato Flip is an expansion pack for Serato DJ that allows users to create custom edits, while extending and re-imaging their music. By recording cue points and censor actions / automation, audio can be saved, looped, started, and re-triggered in an instant. Create and save up to 6 Flips per track.
Pitch 'n Time DJ
Serato's Pitch 'n Time is one of the leading time stretching and pitch shifting algorithms used by audio professionals in film and music industries. The Pitch 'n Time DJ is an expansion pack that speeds up or slows down audio to extreme tempo values, while maintaining its key with high quality and definition.

Serato now includes a sync feature for DVS DJs that will rapidly synchronize tracks without having to move the pitch slider. This feature can be disabled for DJs who prefer to manually beatmatch tracks. The stacked view mode originally available in Scratch Live has been added to Serato DJ to complement the other selectable view modes: vertical, horizontal, extended, and library.
The DJ software can be controlled via iPad using the Serato Remote App or by iPhone/iPod touch using the Serato Remote Mini App, both available from the iTunes App store. You can manage your music library with smart crates using keywords, genres, BPMs and other rules as well as review and edit your set histories, browse by album art, or prepare crates for future shows. Integration with the optional Serato Video software has also been improved with new quartz composer visualizations and the ability to sync both audio and video playback.
DVS Sync Improvements
Serato DJ 1.9.6 includes a number of exciting and important improvements for DVS users including:
- New Anti-Drift option which allows DVS users to stabilize the BPM of playing tracks, perfect for long mixes and blends.
- Smart Sync is now available for DVS users. Sync multiple tracks and sources together easily without tracks falling out of beat.
- New option to allow pitch adjustments to make the BPM of all decks in sync follow.
