The Pianos

Huge Sound - Small Footprint: Imperial Grand starts with the famous dark, rich Bösendorfer style sound, and establishes an incredible level of realism by using patented Neo Piano Hybrid Modeling Engine. This product is the sucessor of Imperial Grand, which was nominated for 29th TEC Awards in Music Instrument Technology Software Category. It is also the First Modeled Piano ever nominated for TEC Awards.

Blue Grand starts with the robust Steinway sound, utilizing these powerful harmonics to create the unsurpassed authenticity and complexity that has long been a standard in concert halls around the world. Blue Grand has successfully captured the highly resonant wooden body flavour of a vintage Steinway built in 1927 and also managed to represents its unique singing tone through Sympathetic Resonance and soundboard resonant. It is a very emotional piano with amazing expression.

Ruby Grand starts with the Famous Yamaha C7 sound, Appearing on famous concert stages, international competitions and prestigious music events throughout the world. Ruby Grand has successfully captured the mellow sustain and beautiful tones of a Yamaha C7 built in 1972, which has original ivory keys. and also managed to represents its unique timbre quality through Neo Piano Hybrid Modelling Engine. It is a beautiful sounding and musical piano ideal for pop and Jazz.

The sound of Fazioli Rose comes from Fazioli "Brunei", a concert grand which worths over $400,000. Fazioli "Brunei" is the most expensive concert grand piano. Fazioli, base in Italy, is considered to produce the best sounding grand pianos today. Based on its famous Fazioli F308, the 10 foot concert grand model, Fazioli "Brunei" is decorated with flowers in mother of pearls, features semi-precious stones in various types.This “Brunei” was specially tuned by factory engineers to achieve a unique sound. , it has deeper bass and mellower in sound compared to F308.

Expertly tuned by technicians, Vintage Upright maintains an amazing quality of sound. It's not a sound like a grand piano, but It is a great piano for a modern pop, rock or jazz recording. You will find it sits well in your mix and also it will add special flavor that those grand pianos do not have to add to your music. During its over 70 years' life, some of the world’s greatest pianists have recorded legendary albums on it including Duke Ellington, Van Kliburn, Chick Corea and many others.

The sound of the Thor developed from the most famous Steinway piano - perhaps the most famous grand piano - in history. This is the Steinway D numbered CD443, the piano that Vladimir Horowitz loved most. The CD443, Mr. Horowitz's last piano, was selected by the artist for his own personal home use. When he was first introduced to this instrument, Mr. Horowitz had reservations about the piano's action (which was rather heavy) but came to love the instrument so much that, when he briefly considered concertizing in 1989, he planned to take the CD443 with him. This piano was used for recording sessions made at his home in both 1988 and 1989.

Next Generation Neo Piano Hybrid Modelling Engine

Neo Piano features a custom built Hybrid DFD/RAM system. It is a very flexible system which can be optimised for different playing applications. If you are using an old system with low RAM,DFD will work well. If you are using a top performance 64bit system with plenty of RAM, you can choose to play Neo Piano totally from RAM. A balance of DFD and RAM samples can be utilised to optimise general performance. In All cases Sound Quality remains at the highest level.

The core of the Neo Piano Engine is the intelligent analyze system which evaluates a MIDI track or performance to determine the Optimum balance between RAM and DFD usage. You can choose the amount of RAM available to Neo Piano to use. For live stage performances, the entire piano sample set can be loaded into RAM, removing any worries about OS interference with Hard Disc access. For Studio and Composition use, DFD is ideal with modern computers.

The new Neo Piano Engine has been totally redesigned and consumes much less CPU than before (1/10 of the previous version) and also best DFD performance (15mb/s requirement for hard disk speed which is around 1/10 for modern hard disks and even less for SSD, so this minimizes the possibility of glitches and pops due to reading the hard drive)

Major Breakthrough - Multi-Dimension Resonance Engine

A major breakthrough in Neo Piano Engine is the resonance engine. Every Grand Piano has a very large soundboard which reflects sound which resonates together with the piano’s wood body. This is a continuous process and makes every note sound unique. In order to simulate this behaviour, Sound Magic first captures multi angle IRs from the soundboard, then applies ground-breaking technology to convert those IRs into Resonance Engine Algorithms. The result is an amazing concert hall sound reproduction full of life.

Style Designer is a special function which allows you to quickly and easily set the piano’s musical style, such as pop, jazz, rock, classical or soft. When you move the style level dial, it will change several internal parametric.

Artificial Intelligence Tools

The Artificial Intelligence Tools check the response of your keyboard and pedals, and help you to find your ideal velocity response curve. A.I. Tools will:
1. Test your Keyboard's Velocity Response.
2. Test pedal support and half pedaling support.
3. Monitor the input states of the piano.

Scala Tuning System allows you try different tunings on your piano. There are over 4000 tunings waiting for you to try out!

Multi GUI Versions

Neo Piano Engine provides different GUi versions for different usage. Sometimes, you may not want the GUI to take so much space on the screen, then the mini GUI version will be good for you. Or you may want to see GUI easily, so a modern and big GUI will be good for you. they plan to add more GUI versions in future to give users more choice on their GUI.
