They convey the musical genius of Django Reinhardt and the enormous influence he has had on his people, the Gypsies of Northern and Central Europe, from the early 1930s until the present day, his unique place in the history of jazz, and his impact on the musical development of guitarists all over the world. This book has over 300 photographs and illustrations, many of which have never been published before.

Compiled by Ian Cruicksharnk. He has written two other books on Django Rienhart as well as many magazne articles about Django. He was a co-producer and co-music cordinator of Channel 4's (in England) documentary 'Django Legacy' . He's a guitarist who has studied the music of Django since 1978 as well has fomed serval jazz groups that perform Gypsy Jazz.
