$319.00The sE Electronics sE2200a II C cardioid condenser microphone updates the original sE2200a with a smooth black rubberized finish and handy shock mount. Beyond that, the sE2200a II C gives you the same stunning quality and up-front sound that made the original version such a huge hit. This is an incredibly versatile condenser microphone, equally at home in front of a guitar cabinet as it is over a drum kit. And if you're looking for that first truly special vocal mic, an sE Electronics sE2200a II C condenser microphone is an excellent choice.
sE Electronics sE2200a II C Cardioid Condenser Microphone:
Tried-and-true cardioid polar patter provides up-front sound
Featuring a custom, hand-crafted 1" gold-sputtered diaphragm, sE Electronics' sE2200a II C condenser microphone provides you with the tonal stability of a fixed cardioid polar pattern. When you close mic with your sE2200a II C, this polar pattern does a great job blocking out the rest of the room, giving your sound a bold, front-and-center quality.
Low-noise operation meets high-headroom SPL handling
When it comes to capturing dynamic content, not all studio-style condenser mics are made equal. In fact, the same mic that sounds great on your amp stack may be a bit too noisy to use on acoustic guitar, and your favorite vocal mic may not be able to handle the SPLs required by drum overheads. Not so with sE Electronics' sE2200a II C condenser microphone. That's because sE Electronics built the sE2200a II C to be able to withstand epic decibel levels, while maintaining a super-low noise floor - just what you need to capture highly dynamic sounds.
Extra onboard options give you even more flexibility
Talk about a studio workhorse mic - the sE Electronics sE2200a II C was built to handle just about any sound you can imagine. Not only is it naturally able to keep up with extremely dynamic sound sources, such as vocals and brass instruments, but it gives you both a highpass filter and a 10dB pad to further shape its response. Whether you need to cut out low-end rumble or back off the gain to capture a screaming amp stack, the sE Electronics sE2200a II C gives you the sonic flexibility you need.

The sE4 pair replaces the sE3 pair. The mic is a remodelled sE3, designed to sound and perform exactly the same, and with very similar styling, but with one key new feature. The chassis has been re-engineered to accept 2 additional interchangeable capsules, a Hypercardioid and an Omni.
Please note The sE4 mic comes with the Cardioid capsule as standard. The Hypercardioid and Omni capsule set, is available as an additional purchase, for both single and matched stereo pair sE4 mics.
The sE4 has been renamed, despite its similarity to the existing sE3, to avoid confusion, since the new capsules will NOT fit on the current sE3 model. Both single and matched pairs of mic and capsule sets are available, and the packaging has also been updated with sE's new hi spec black Aluminium, steel reinforced, flight cases. All sE4 packages ship with full suspension shock mounts included.

Using a speaker as a low-frequency capture mic is nothing new. The Beatles used this technique as far back as the recordings of "Paperback Writer" and "Rain".
Go search the internet and you'll find plenty of people dangling a speaker from a make-shift stand, re-wiring a monitor driver, or even hot-wiring a combo amp to try and garner those coveted sub-lows.
Recently, manufacturers and DIYers have taken to wedging a leftover speaker into an repurposed orphan snare or tom drum. Sure, you'll probably get some signal, but it takes more to get the all right pieces in place for the best possible signal at the source, so you get the best possible sound in your ears.
BRING ME SOLOMON.
Enter the SOLOMON MiCS "LoFReQ"... purpose built from the ground up, to get all the coveted chest-rumbling, sub-freq goodness, in a smaller package, at HALF THE WEIGHT of the conventional manufactured sub-mic, and HALF THE PRICE as well. SOLOMON MiCS mount to standard mic stands for limitless placement options, and stand choices... Whether dressed in black, all white or the black AND white trooper, your LoFReQ will either make an impression or just seamless fit whatever aesthetic you choose...
Designed for picking up the most chest-rumbling frequencies of a kick drum (or other instruments packing a low punch), the LoFReQ is a dynamic low-frequency capture mic—or "sub-mic," as it's more commonly known—that's capable of capturing 25 Hz to 3 kHz at half the size of comparable units. It attaches to any standard 5/8" mic thread, and, with its Tolex wrapping and protective aluminum grilles, the LoFReQ looks great.
